Lenovo laptops are equipped with various RAM options, depending on the specific model and configuration. The most common RAM capacities for Lenovo laptops are 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB. Some high-end models may offer 32GB or even 64GB of RAM. Additionally, Lenovo laptops usually support DDR4 RAM technology, which provides faster and more efficient performance compared to older generations of RAM. It is important to consider the RAM capacity when purchasing a Lenovo laptop, as it directly impacts the system's multitasking capabilities and overall performance.
If you need to replace the RAM in your Lenovo laptop, follow these steps:
1. Turn off your laptop and unplug it from the power source.
2. Locate the battery release latch and slide it to release the battery.
3. Remove any screws securing the RAM cover and remove the cover.
4. Carefully remove the existing RAM modules by spreading the retaining clips and pulling them out at an angle.
5. Insert the new RAM modules at the same angle and push them firmly into place until the retaining clips snap into position.
6. Replace the RAM cover, insert the battery, and turn on your laptop to ensure the new RAM is recognized.
Follow the above steps to replace RAM. But my advice is that a service engineer is the right person to do this. We have a good, experienced service engineer who will replace your RAM.
